Meet the team
George Youssef is a highly trained statistician and data scientist, and one of the co-founders of YonX Consulting. He holds a PhD, Master of Biostatistics, and Master of Clinical Neuropsychology. He has more than 15 years’ experience working as a data scientist in a broad range of fields spanning research/academia, business/tech, education/training.
Within business and tech, he has worked as a data scientist focused on
generating insights from large amounts of commercial data and works
closely with analytic teams to ensure that statistical models provide
optimal outcomes for customers and business leaders. He has also published over 150 peer-reviewed journal articles, book chapters, and government reports and secured >$2million in competitive grant funding. George continues to hold appointments at leading Australian universities.
George has a warm interpersonal style and is easy to work with. He is passionate about analysis and has high attention to detail. He has a wealth of experience applying a very wide variety of statistical models to answer data science questions quickly and reliably. He has particular interest in building data analytic capacity within teams and turning (often messy!) raw data into actionable insights and research outputs.
Chris Greenwood is a co-founder of YonX Consulting and a highly experienced data scientist with over 8 years of experience in academia, research, education, and training. He holds a PhD and has over 50 peer-reviewed articles, government reports, and grants. Throughout his career, Chris has worked with teams across multiple organisations and universities, both domestically and internationally, and has a proven track record of leveraging data to generate actionable insights.
Chris is a data analyst with a well-rounded skillset. He has a particular expertise in managing and analysing large complex datasets including the use of longitudinal and causal modeling techniques uncover underlying trends and patterns within data. Additionally, Chris has formal training in machine learning models and has extensive experience in developing and applying various algorithms to tackle complex data problems.
Aside from his research contributions, Chris is a dedicated mentor and committed to supporting the development of data science within high-performing teams. He is actively involved in providing workshops and supervising university academics and students, and continues to have a keen interest in education and training.
